THE
STORM WAR

Build the defenses.
Play the consequences.

The Stormwater Defenders card game comes to life as a digital tabletop. Apply real stormwater concepts, outsmart the Degraders, and compete to protect the next Environment.

LEARN THE CHOICES. PLAY THE CONSEQUENCES.

Every card is a decision.

Stormwater concepts become something players can see, compare, and use. Build a Jobsite, choose a risk to challenge, and decide when to help another trainee—or make their next cleanup harder.

01

Build your Jobsite

Apply Best Management Practices, recruit a Defender as your Mentor, and equip Tools. Your choices build Toxic, Erosion, and Nutrient defense.

02

Face the risk

Challenge one risk on the shared Environment. Degraders increase the danger, Chaos can change the outcome, and another trainee can donate a BMP.

03

Clean. Reset. Repeat.

Equal or beat the final risk to clean the Environment. Earn rewards and build for the next challenge. In the standard game, the first trainee to clean three wins.

YOUR FIRST TABLE IS READY

Try The Storm War.

A guided opening. A practice rival. Your first Environment to protect.

Demo: one trainee versus a computer, a curated opening hand, and one Environment to win. The original card values and game actions are used. If the embedded demo does not load in your browser, use the full-window button.

Ready to test with a team?

Open the full 2–4 player test. Create a shared table, have every trainee scan its QR code on their own phone, then let the first joined trainee start. The shared display holds the board.

A NEW WAY INTO PUDLE OUTREACH

A program people can play.

The proposed digital edition would give PUDLE another way to engage learners between newsletters, field activities, and training. The same characters can connect discovery, practice, and group discussion.

Classrooms & clubs

Turn a stormwater lesson into a shared challenge. A facilitator can pause the table to ask why a BMP helps, compare risk types, and discuss the choices after play.

Staff & outreach teams

Use a facilitated table as a conversation starter for source control, treatment choices, and changing conditions. Pilot sessions would test fit for staff learning and team events.

Community events

Offer a short guided demo at a booth, open house, or Adventure Walk event. Visitors can meet the characters, try a cleanup, and continue into other PUDLE activities.

One universe. More reasons to return.

A Quarterly Seasonal Regional feature can introduce a real stormwater challenge. Defenders Radio can carry the theme. An Adventure Walk can make it visible outdoors. The Storm War gives learners a place to practice decisions together. These connections are proposed additions for review.

COLLABORATION PROPOSAL · NATHAN & ROBIN REVIEW

PUDLE’s learning world.
The Sixth Key’s playable format.

This is a proposed digital gaming program within PUDLE Outreach, developed in collaboration with Tiffany Moore’s The Sixth Key Games. This working demo makes the idea testable before the commercial scope is approved.

CWT / PUDLE Outreach

Original game, educational direction, and universe. CWT supplies the Stormwater Defenders characters, original card artwork, and rules. PUDLE provides the outreach context, intended audiences, and educational review.

The Sixth Key Games

Proposed digital gameplay partner. The Sixth Key brings the playable table, phone joining, private hands, automated game actions, and digital presentation. House 6 Designs provides the design and production direction.

What needs approval before a purchasable edition?
  • Educational fit: audiences, facilitator support, learning goals, and pilot feedback.
  • Final rules: confirm the provisional digital rulings, card quantities, and the five held Chaos Card Challenge cards.
  • Collaboration terms: written agreement on permitted use of CWT’s game and artwork, digital ownership, credits, responsibilities, and the commercial relationship with Tiffany’s separate company.
  • Offer & operations: decide pricing, purchase access, potential classroom / group licenses, revenue allocation, support, and ongoing maintenance. These are proposed; this demo has no checkout.
The next decision: approve a focused playtest.

Start with Nathan and Robin reviewing this demo, then a small 2–4 trainee session. Record confusing card interactions, ease of joining, pacing, and useful discussion points. Use that feedback to define the first purchasable digital edition.
